Wowie!! All those bags of wonderful wool!! I have several friends who go to Maryland for the Wool Festival every year but I haven't made it yet. From your pictures I can see that it's a fiber person's paradise!!

Hi Deb, I actually am replying to a different post, I think. Just finding my way through. I read about your upcoming Shetland Sheep work. We are interested as it is our "featured breed" this year at the Dixon CA Lambtown Festival in October. Good luck with all of that!

I also am headed to the UK this summer. I like to see sheep we don't have here in the U.S. (I am a spinner and small wool processor). I will be staying at one farm on Colonsay to spend time with the Hebridean Sheep there (and taking a knitting course); then on to N. Ronaldsay to see those sheep. Finally, to the Lake District to stay at a farm with Herdwicks. I did this last year in Australia - working my way from farm to farm on the trains - and have found in each case that sheep people are so welcoming and friendly. I will be taking lots of photos and am happy to share if you need any of these particular UK breeds. Good luck with your trip. My working email address is jacks.wool@gmail.com, if you would like to get in touch. Many thanks for all you have written - I use the Fleece and Fiber Source Book all the time!
