We've been working on the raised beds between deadlines, but a few minutes ago had reason (again) to be very happy we haven't gotten the plants installed:
That's hail (again). It's our neighbor's trailer, right next to our driveway. Those clumps of ice are ricocheting off our roof.
Here's some of what accumulated in a couple of minutes. Most of those ice balls are about a half-inch (1.25cm) across.
When I lived in Boulder I had a car that survived a storm like that, other than the fact that it was textured like a golf ball! Glad the plants were safe and cozy!

Wow! That's some serious weather. Of course, we've got a tornado watch going, so every place has its "charms." Packing up a storm over here...hope you're well. :)

Several years ago, we had a hailstorm like that in midsummer. Looked like someone had gone through our garden with a weedwhacker...
Just at the point that the surviving plants were looking recovered, we had an early frost that killed them all.
Love gardening. Really.
