KnitWear 2006, Fort Collins, Colorado

KnitWear was a first-time event in conjunction with the well-established ArtWear, which has grown into a celebration of wearable art. I haven't got the photo thing down yet, but I'm on the left here and Donna Druchunas, author of Arctic Lace and The Knitted Rug is on the right. Thanks to Judy Fort Brenneman for the photo and for making it possible for us to be at KnitWear by helping and encouraging so much, and to Donna for bringing the qiviut and qiviut-merino-silk blend yarns that were so lovely to pat and the wonderful scarves and nachaqs made by the women of Oomingmak Musk-Ox Producers' Co-operative. Donna also had great photos of musk oxen she had met while researching her book.
