I'da been horizontal on the ferry passage... glad you enjoyed it. What a lovely travel you're having!

I think I'd likely agree about the drink being better at room temperature!

Also, clearly the humans are wrong about where that cat lives.

Thank you so much for keeping us up to date on your grand adventure. I am so glad you have been able to spend time with Niela....and so jealous. Although from the looks of the sea, I think I might not have enjoyed the 12.5 hours on the ferry.
Enjoy Shetland!

Deb Robson

Gloria, it would have been wonderful if you could have been part of the conversation Niela and I had today. You were definitely there in spirit!

Smudge has definite opinions about where he lives. Wherever he wants to.

Meg, it is a lovely travel. I’m okay on the ferry with wristbands, and I have dramamine with me.

Enjoy Shetland! We're all sending you out there to bring back the info!
Looking forward to your review of the new large book of Shetland textile history that just appeared on Schoolhouse Press's new books list....

Deb Robson

I’m doing my best to share as I go, and will be bringing back info—and, of course, MORE QUESTIONS. That’s the fun of it. I have that Shetland textiles book. It’s beautiful, with some excellent essays and articles. I’ll see if I can do a “real” review when I get home . . . which is where the book is. . . .

I am absurdly excited to share this ferry journey with you! Someday I hope to make this journey myself, and I really hope I get to have a berth, too!

Deb Robson

I think even one of the sleeping pods would have been fine, Melissa. I didn’t get to see them and was a bit leery. But they are in a private area and may actually be reasonably quiet and comfortable. The shared berth worked very well, given my luck of the draw in a cabin-mate!
